No running as I have a (large) pain in my foot and I want to take a bit of time to make sure it heals because MARATHON TRAINING starts soon. However, I did bike hard for 30 minutes and then hit the weights. |

| | Foot pain seems to be gone so I hit the road for 5 easy-pace miles to see how it goes. The only goofy thing is that my toes wanted to cramp up later in the evening....seems to be an ongoing problem with me...not sure what the deal is. |

| | This has been a poor month for running....problems with scheduling, weather and motivation. I'm going to chalk this up to a mental/physical recovery month and come back strong starting Feb. 1st. Looking forward to it! Hopefully that niggling foot pain will have also let up with the scale back in running.... |

| | Horrible, horrible run. Snow on the sidewalks made it feel like running in sand, I was so tired after one mile! Couldn't get going fast enough to warm up so I was very cold by the end. |

Get Lucky Half Marathon (13.1 Miles) 02:12:13, Place overall: 1804, Place in age division: 216 | | Not my best race, but considering that I haven't really been training I'm ok with this. I'm just using it as motivation to kickstart my marathon training. I do need to figure out the fueling thing though....seems like when I hit 10 miles or so I'm just done. All I take during the race is water and gatorade...wonder if I should be trying GU packets? |

| | Painful. I've taken a break from running and been biking instead. I can say that biking is not as good for my body as running but giving my feet a break was a must. I hope I can get my running fitness back quickly.
