I would have loved to get that last .25 in and say I did 9....but it wasn't to be.
60 degrees, 15 mph NE wind. Tough run today, felt many miles longer than last weekends 8 miles. Sigh. I wonder how next weekend's 10 will go? |

| | 63 degrees, 9mph E wind. Took me almost three miles just to feel warmed up and coordinated. Should have run longer then but I know I'll be doing 5 tomorrow night and then 10 on Saturday. |

| | First time I've done 10 miles since last fall and all I can say is OUCH. This training plan takes me up to 17 miles....not sure how that's going to go but I've discovered the best way to do these long distance runs is to just run - no thinking about it! |

4.2 miles, 42 degrees, 15 mph NW wind. I am REALLY sick of the wind!
Other than that, legs felt good after Saturday's long run; just a tiny bit tired but they warmed right up after a couple miles. I mostly noticed that running into the wind was a little harder than normal. |

| | 3.2 miles, 50 degrees, calm wind. Went out without the watch tonight so I'm not sure how fast I did it but it did feel good! 5K on Saturday....though I don't think it's officially timed.....didn't notice that when I signed up. Oh well, it's part of my training plan for the half - I'm really just running against me! |

I'm about half way through a 1/2 marathon training plan and am a new believer in following training plans - they work!! Took it pretty easy tonight since I have my long run tomorrow - 11 miles, it'll be the furthest I've ever gone! 57 degrees, 7 mph NW wind. I've been running without music lately and finding that I'm surviving. Somehow, after a long day at work and kids to come home to the quiet is nice, even if I do live in a busy suburb so the quiet isn't all that quiet. BUT, no one is demanding I listen to the either! |

45 degrees, calm wind. Run went well overall, I suppose it could all be in my head but that last mile - WHEW! But other than that last mile I loved the second bit of energy I got at around mile 8. Very nice... |

| | 12 miles, perfect weather; 55 degrees and sunny! Felt pretty good until mile 8 where I started to tire but was still OK. By mile 10 I was noticeably struggling and the last mile was very hard. But I'm feeling very proud that I stuck it out! |
